Emily is a development-focused construction executive and Title of IXB whose practice sits at the intersection of engineering, investment strategy, and preconstruction execution. With experience across multifamily, corporate, and industrial asset classes, she brings a rigorous, analytically grounded approach to the earliest and most consequential phases of project development, where assumptions are most costly and clarity is most scarce.
Her career began at Lendlease Construction’s Integrated Solutions team, where she supported the planning and delivery of complex large-scale residential developments, contributing to the execution of more than 1,000 residential units across Chicago’s demanding construction environment. That foundation in technically demanding, schedule-driven delivery led her to Dayton Street Partners, a real estate investment firm where she managed local and national construction portfolios spanning corporate value-add repositioning and industrial outdoor storage assets – building the investor’s fluency that now defines her approach to evaluating projects for capital efficiency, risk exposure, and long-term asset performance.
At IXB, Emily leads preconstruction strategy with the precision of an engineer and the perspective of an owner, stress-testing design assumptions, aligning budget parameters with project objectives, and establishing the cost and schedule certainty that transforms early-stage decisions into achievable project outcomes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
