Eric Fiket is a construction and development executive and Title of IXB with more than two decades of experience spanning architectural design, building information modeling, construction management, and owner’s representation across some of the most technically demanding projects built in recent decades — mixed-use high-rise and supertall residential, healthcare campuses, institutional landmarks, and international cultural facilities including the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. His fluency across design, construction, and ownership disciplines is not incidental to his practice at IXB; it is the foundation of it.
That cross-disciplinary depth shapes how Eric approaches every engagement. Having operated at each level of the project hierarchy, from design production and field execution to executive oversight on behalf of institutional owners, he brings a rare insight into the pivotal decisions that drive project outcomes. Where most construction professionals read drawings, Eric reads intent — understanding the technical and spatial logic behind design decisions in a way that allows him to identify constructability challenges earlier and protect design integrity through the full arc of delivery. Most recently at Skender Construction, he directed project teams in the delivery of a Class A high-rise office building, an industrial food preparation facility, and the adaptive reuse of a heavy timber and masonry loft structure, each presenting distinct structural, mechanical, and logistical demands resolved through methodical sequencing and hands-on field leadership.
At IXB, Eric guides projects with a dual lens: the analytical rigor of an architect and the accountability of a builder, ensuring that what is designed can be built and what is built performs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
